Get to Know Danielle
Hello!
I am a married, mother of two neurodivergent kiddos, neurodivergent myself (you know where apples fall), bisexual, witchy she/her born and raised in Wisconsin.
I was raised in a household with an alcoholic father and a toxic mother (specific diagnoses from my therapist helped clarify that understanding). School was a sanctuary and from the first day of kindergarten I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree from UW-Eau Claire but through life's unexpected turns I ended up in a health insurance career for 20 years, the last 10 in a position I was passionate about. I dug into issues for physicians and hospital systems to resolve them at the root cause, helped people directly, taught them about policies and processes, and coached on how to get better results.
Self - Discovery
I've built a family and worked hard through therapy and classes to shed unhelpful protective strategies that no longer served me, to find my authentic voice, and to break harmful family cycles so my children would know genuine love, safety, protection, and consistency. Discovering their neurodivergence led me down additional paths of research in order to help them with tools and strategies for regulation, as well as advocating for assistance for them with their doctor and the school systems. All of this has led to the discovery of my own neurodivergence, opening an entirely new road of education, tools, and resources.
My Eclipse
The day after the full moon eclipse in September 2024, my department was told none of our work would be redistributed but we would now also have to spend 1/2 our work time to support a completely different area of the company. Within 7 months, my position no longer existed. I knew I was being called to use my experience to do more impactful work with my empathy, education, and experience. That eclipse was a turning point, where I could see how sometimes something that was out of our control or out of our full awareness can block our light and make our shadows harmful instead of a natural part of us. It's more important than ever for us to know our shadows to avoid their pitfalls and to be able to find, amplify, and share our light with ourselves, our families and friends, our communities, and the world at large.
I'm proud to now be able to share this vision with you in Eclipse Coaching LLC.
